Care Plan

At Harmonic Design, we don’t just design and build you an amazing site. We also support, maintain, host, secure, and offer consultations after the build as well. This is why all clients are required to be on our Care Plan.

What is the Care Plan?

The Care Plan is a low monthly cost that covers almost all aspects of keeping your site online and performing as best as possible.

• Premium Hosting: Unlimited bandwidth (traffic). Lighting fast. Secure.
• Monthly software updates: This includes performing updates for WordPress and any plugins.
• 24h critical software updates: Any critical updates required for security, on either the site or hosting side, will be done within 24 hours of the update becoming available.
• Active security and firewall: Automatically block bots, automated scripts, login abuse, and vulnerability scans.
• Uptime monitoring: If there is an issue with DNS, hosting, or the site itself, we have 24/7 monitoring and will be able to track and fix the issue.
• Integrated analytics: View your site analytics directly from your dashboard in an easy-to-understand and relevant format.
• DNS management: Your DNS is critical and issues can do everything from taking down your entire site, to forcing your emails to end up in spam. We will manage this for you to endure the best setup.
• HDLicenses: Licenses for all Harmonic Design plugins, as needed. This includes HDForms, HDCommerce, HDPress, etc.
• Bug fixes: Even years after project completion, if a bug is discovered that was caused by something we did wrong, we will fix it. We stand by what we build.
• Daily server backups: Daily backups of the server will be available, going back 30 days. You will also have the ability to download a full backup locally.
• Image optimization: We build speedy, performant sites. Our powerful server and site integration will automatically compress and resize images for you.
• Content Delivery Network: All images will be run through a CDN. This improves site performance and stability.
• Legal pages: All websites should have a Privacy Policy and/or Terms of Service. We can write these for you to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, including the GDPR.
• Full SMTP email server: Connection to a top-of-the-line SMTP server. This is necessary to ensure email deliverability and security. Helps prevent your emails from ending up in spam.
• 60-minutes quarterly consulting call: This is something new we are now offering. It is amazing how many times we’ve had a call with a client who (unrelated to the site), wishes they didn’t have to do some tedious workflow. Only for us to respond with “why didn’t you bring this up sooner? We can automate that for you!”.
• Content updates: If you do not want to be the one to update your site content, we can handle that for you as well.

Why is the Care Plan required?

Almost all of our projects come from referrals, which only happen when we have happy clients.

You are not security experts. You do not know how to manage and maintain a performant site. DNS records like A, CNAME, MX, TXT, DMARC, etc scare you. You do not know how to set up a host to enable a CDN, page caching, email servers and so on. So let us handle all of that for you.

We do what’s best for clients, which means we manage the site. It’s OK if you don’t want to keep a relationship with us, but once the site is out of our control, maintaining, updating, and securing, becomes your responsibility. We will not do any work on a site that is not on our Care Plan.

We want clients who value our guidance and expertise. Your website is the main marketing and sales hub for your business. Building and launching a website is just the first step. What happens next is far more critical. When an expert team adds SEO, PPC, content marketing, split testing, landing pages, lead magnets, and so on, great things happen to the business. A care plan is the base level of this relationship.
